At a Glance
SnapPaw lets players photograph animals in public and turn each capture into a collectible card. We process account details, phone verification data, capture photos, game activity, precise capture location, approximate public map location, device diagnostics, and advertising data where applicable.
Capture locations are shown with an approximate privacy radius and not as exact public coordinates. SnapPaw does not sell personal data.
Data We Collect
Contact and account data: phone number, SMS verification status, nickname, optional name, optional email address, and support messages.
User content: photos you capture or upload, generated card images, animal category, rarity, stats, ownership history, battle history, XP, leaderboard activity, and moderation/reporting records.
Location: precise GPS at the moment of a capture, used to create the card, operate map discovery, reduce abuse, and prevent location spoofing. Public map display is privacy-filtered.
Identifiers, usage, diagnostics, and advertising data: Supabase user identifiers, device and session information, crash/diagnostic logs, IP-derived network data, advertising identifier where the user permits tracking, ad interactions, and consent choices.
How We Use Data
We use data to create accounts, verify users, generate cards, run battles and transfers, show leaderboards, prevent abuse, provide support, maintain security, and improve the app.
Advertising data is used to support the free app model and follows device-level consent controls, Apple App Tracking Transparency, and Google consent requirements where applicable.
Sharing and Processors
We use trusted processors for hosting, authentication, database, storage, phone verification, email/support operations, diagnostics, app distribution, and advertising. Current core providers include Supabase, Twilio or an equivalent SMS provider, Google AdMob, Apple, and Google Play services.
We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users and the service, or to enforce our terms.
Advertising Identifier and Tracking
SnapPaw is free and may show ads through Google AdMob. On iOS, we request App Tracking Transparency permission before using the advertising identifier for personalized advertising. Users can decline tracking and continue using the app.
Where required, we use consent controls for personalized ads, measurement, and related advertising purposes. Apple and Google may process advertising and diagnostic data under their own platform terms.
Retention and Deletion
We keep account and game data while the account is active and for limited periods needed for security, legal, and dispute handling. Users can request deletion through the app or by contacting support.
When a user deletes an account, public game records that must remain for card ownership integrity may be anonymized rather than removed entirely.
Your Rights
Depending on your region, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, or withdrawal of consent. Turkish users have rights under KVKK Article 11, and EEA/UK users have GDPR rights.
